Phil’s Diary - [Blog @ http://www.philsdiary.net/]
Lots of queuing to get my sister there and unpacked. Queues on the motorway, queues in the city. And that was just the travel. Once we were there was the uni’s central registration to tackle, which was another hour and half queue. Once we’d done that we has the fantastic job of carrying boxes of her stuff up to her room. Lift to the third floor and then stairs to the forth.
All of this moving boxes around is stuff that I spent many years doing, when I was at uni, so it’s all pretty familiar. Doesn’t make it any less hardwork though.
With that all done, and my sister mostly unpacked, we went out into the city and had a curry at one of the (many) restaurants in Rusholme.
With all the queuing and whatnot, it was quite late when we left, and even later when we got back home.
I think my sister was as nervous about it all as I was when I first moved into uni. I’m sure she’ll get over it in a few hours though.
