Well, I managed to get everywhere I needed to on time. The bank to begin with which didn’t take long (even though they insisted on giving me a mortgage quote!).
Then on to Banbury to get some more car stereo fitted. While they were fitting it I popped into town and did a little shopping.
Back to the garage and they’re just finishing up.
That’s when the first problem occurs. While the fitting is almost a work of art, the thing doesn’t work quite as expected.
The problem is the volume. There seem to be only two settings when playing, nearly off (but still, just audible), and speaker damaging loud. Nothing inbetween (and no louder even if you turn it further up).
So I ask the gent who fitted it to take a look. He agrees that something’s not right, but offers to take another look.
Sure enough, he’d plugged the thing into the wrong socket. In his defence he had a choice of three, all unmarked.
Now all is well. Could do with some better speakers though… but that’s for another day.
