Phil’s Diary - [Blog @ http://www.philsdiary.net/]
All in all a pretty dull race, with the exception of the last 0.010 seconds. The two ferraris having done the whole race in 1-2, go for a photo finish, and seemingly by accident end up swapping places.
So rather than Schumacher, who’d lead for the whole (bar that last few metres,) race winning, Barichello won instead.
First reaction story here.

I tend to agree, this season really hasn't been anything special.
You're right in your approach I think. Somehow the cars have got to be racing closely, and the only way to do that is to make the cars closer.
Both of your suggestions sounds like good ones to me.
I'd also want to get rid of re-fuelling... it's rather dull to watch them passing in the pits.

Pretty dull RACE? Bloody dull season is what you meant to say, surely?
I don't understand why anybody watches F1 anymore. It's sooooooo boring - and that's coming from someone who used to trapse to tracks all over Europe to catch all three (or indeed, four, as it used to be) days of the event only a few years ago.
I think it's time for a revolution. Any ideas?
I've come up with weight handicapping a la horses or limited chassis/engine options a la Indy.
Of course, we could also start the fastest qualifiers at the back of the grid... at least you might see some overtaking then.
