Phil’s Diary - [Blog @ http://www.philsdiary.net/]
I can’t really remember doing anything much of note today. I did find that my parents new phone would forget any phone numbers stored in it the moment you disconnected the power (simulating a power cut, honest). Not best as this is almost the sole reason why they wanted to get a new phone. So that will be going back tomorrow, and they can get the same one I have, which I know doesn’t lose numbers.
One thing I did do today was repair some rust on my car. The previous owner looks to have used a roof rack which managed to cut some small holes through the paint work just under the roof. So I scratch the surrounding paint off (not something I like doing, as the rest of the car is in a nice state, it feels wrong), some anti-rust, then a base coat of anti-rust primer, and then a top layer of some touch up paint. We’re talking tiny spots, hidden by the doors themselves, but it’s nice to get it done before any of it spreads.
My parents has visitors this evening. I stay around (with my sister, also), as they’re "family friends", I know one of their daughters, and so on.
Pleasant enough evening, just as the sun was setting I went scrabbling up a nearby hill with my sister. The countryside surrounding my parents is pretty flat, and the view is great. Sunset though leads to some great sunset pictures, lovely sky, black ground.
Back home and visitors leave and I get to sleep, the wind has picked up and so it’s a lot cooler today, than it was yesterday.
