X

Work is mad hectic today, never ending phone calls, still at least it keeps me on my toes.
Back home and though it’s dark the moon is doing it’s thing. It might be Halloween, but no one tried their luck here. Spent a little while getting my Linux box to honour XDMCP queries. In English (or as close as this paragraph is every going to get) it means when I run an X client on my windows box, it spots the Linux box, and gets a graphical login prompt, and off we go. Before now I’ve had to telnet to the Linux box, and then run xterm -display, to export the display. Fiddly. I’ve detailed how this is done on the Linux pages.
And that was October. Still no heating needed in my flat, which is amazing. See you all next month.
