If you’re not into Linux in a big way, or are just starting out, you may be inclined to do a Windows style install, and put everything on one partition.
If this is the case, and you fancy using a large harddisk (say, over 32Gb), then you’re going to need to do something a bit different.
You’ll need to make an extra partition, specifically for /boot. Otherwise you may be stuck without all the harddisk space accessible. Place the rest, / on a partition using the rest of the drive.
Make boot about 10-20Mb (yes Mb, not Gb).
Disk Druid, part of the RedHat install makes it pretty painless to do this.
