Phil’s Diary - [Blog @ http://www.philsdiary.net/]
Really a rather damp day today. Lots of work to ease myself into things (though I’ll be on hols for the next two days, new year and all that).
JHR emailed me to ask if I’d reverse the order of entries within a given day (but keep the day ordering as is). I can’t see anything obvious that will let me do that, so I’m working on asking around to see if I can do it.
Back home and one of my computers was playing games today. I don’t normally turn them off, but I decided to turn the Linux box off while I was away (not much point backing up stuff that hasn’t changed). When I turned it on this evening, the BIOS reckoned that the primary harddisk had failed. A good excuse to buy a new harddisk me thinks.
However it all worked out. A power down and back up and all was fine. I’m not overly worried as I can’t think of anything on there that isn’t somewhere else.
Plenty of unpacking and stuff to do once I got back this evening too. I didn’t bother last night, which is a bit lazy of me, but then I was pretty tired.
Anyhow, that was a wet today. Hope you’re all having fun.
