Samba

As ever Samba proves to be a little recalcitrant. It’ll connect ok to my windows machine and grab files as needed (ie. do my backups). But it doesn’t like the idea of allowing the windows box to see any shares on it.

I’m guessing I need to tamper a little with the smb.conf file a little more, but that can wait until tomorrow (at the earliest).

I’ve left my machine (now it has an internet connection) updating itself from the Redhat Update service, which strikes me as pretty similer to Windows update (though the fact it grabs packages for all the other associated apps is a good bonus).

I’m done for now, off to bed.
