A very busy day at work today. I’ve managed to catch a cold too, nothing too bad at the moment, except for a blocked nose (so sounding a bit wonky).
Back home just before (or was it just after?) six, and after the rush hour traffic has abated a little, Ruth and I head out to the supermarket to buy some supplies. Back home and I assist with the making some bolognaise sauce. While that’s simmering away we have a game of scrabble. A triple word score saves me from complete humiliation, which is a risk inherent in playing someone with a degree in English. I still get beaten, just not by quite the margin it was looking like.
Around 10 and food is ready, and we settle down to watch “Frost”, before getting some sleep.
Tomorrow is Pancake Day, which I’ve missed for the past umpteen years, and am not going to forget tomorrow (supplies have already been purchased).
