Ruth mentioned last weekend, we bought a small bottle of Gooseberry wine, which I’ve not touched since last weekend. The stuff is bizarre, 14%, and still sticky and sweet. My guess is that with a little more fermentation it would end up far far more potent. I’ve never really been a fan of gooseberries, since my parents grew them in their garden and they were served up every Sunday (I’ve gone off a lot of food since I had it too much as a kid), but this wine doesn’t really taste like them at all (in my opinion).
Anyhow, it’s all gone now. Not enough to knock me out, but plenty to relax me (and no, the keys aren’t jumping around).
