Noisy Nuisance

I’ve had an electric guitar and amp for a good couple of years now. The volume control on the amp has a volume dial as you’d expect, marked from 0 to 10. When I’m playing it’s set just a smidgen above 0. Even then if I play loudly the floor vibrates quite nicely.

For a long long time now I’ve wanted to hook my computer into the amp (not hard… dead easy in fact), and turn the dial up as far as it’ll go, while playing Pink Floyd or similar.

But I’ve some respect for my neighbours, who I’m sure wouldn’t really appreciate it.

I’ve played before with it cranked up to 6 when at my parents and alone (their house is not a block of flats like this, but a nicely detached house), and that was rather on the loud side.

I guess I want to do it for a few reason, the first is to see what the amp can really do, the second to hear it put to good use (heck, I’m naff at playing, some decent tune through it would do a better job), and just because I like loud noises every now and again I guess.

Someday when I’ve less neighbours to annoy I guess.
