4Gb Limit

This is interesting, but almost certainly driven by marketing rather the truth (which it actually is). The chap is of course right, for a while at least nobody really needs 4GB of RAM. Sure there are some instances where it might be useful (video editing for one), but those people are massively in the minority, and even some of those would only find it useful as opposed to really a requirement.

The rest of us who use email, web a word processor play games and listen to tunes and not much else aren’t really going to hit that limit just yet.

Good to see someone talking sense for a change.

Just because Intel doesn't have it's 64 bit chips lined up for the market. A few years ago, when they didn't have 64bit competition, they were sounding out differently while 'preparing' the market.

Of course, most people don't need 64bit stuff.
But if you do industrial CAD or data-mining you sometimes hit that 4GB barier, so don't say "nobody" needs it.
