First trip out this morning was to the garage to ask them for a quote for repair work. They say I’ll need a new bonnet and will get back to me with a quote. I’m still waiting.
I stopped at the supermarket on the way home and did the weekly shopping.
Back home and as well as watch “The Recruit” (not bad, 6-7/10), get a few odds and ends done. And now it’s just gone 4, and I’m still waiting on that quote and wondering what else to do.
Back to work tomorrow

I find it unbelievable that you should need a new bonnet with that small amount of damage. Car repairers in NZ would have that fixed and re-sprayed for something like $500 = GBP160
But then, while in the UK a couple of trips ago, I rear-ended a car ahead while driving a friend's vehicle. He had minor bumper damage to one corner. The car I was driving had the right wing crumpled back onto the wheel. The *whole car* was eventually declared unrepairable and the insurance paid out the full value. I just couldn't believe it. I guess someone eventually picked up that car at a low price, fixed it, and flogged it off at a huge profit. No wonder the UK insurance premiums are so high.
