Eating Out

Ooops sorry, didn’t really get much of a chance, what with getting in late and then having to get ready to go out.

Tonight was quite simple, starting off in a oub (a few pints) followed by by a lebanese (more in a few seconds), followed by another pub with more pints. Luckily I’m still just about sober enough to type and make sense (provided I use the backspace key a lot), as I’ve got to be at work tomorrow.

The Lebanese food was nice enough. To be honest it was a new experience for me (someone who has three main food groups, pizza, fish and chips and curry, despite attempts to educate me). The food was, as I say quite nice. Well cooked, well textured, suitably different. Where it seemed to lack was in flavour and spiceyness. I’m used to food that’s with a little more flavour… a little less bland (yes, I smother my self heated junk with ketchup ). This lacked that a fair bit. For example, the chicken was nice, but lacked some sort of sauce that you’d expect with a curry.

That said, it was nice enough that I’d be happy to return and certainly a new experience.

The last pub however was staggeringly empty. Good job I wasn’t alone really.

Anyway, got to be at work tomorrow, looking semi-alive at least, so I’d better get this posted and get some sleep.

Ohh, the horror of chicken that tastes like chicken instead of tatsing like curry.
