Upgraded sendmail this morning (as the version I was using had a pretty serious hole in it), also got an ftp daemon working. All seemed well until I noticed this morning that mail was missing. Stranger still /var/log/maillog was showing the mail as incoming.
After a few service restarts mail is now arriving just fine. But really strangely /var/log/maillog is no longer being updated. Mail comes and goes, but nothing is logged. Very strange. If you’ve any ideas, please let me know.
Bought some chicken this morning while out, so I could cook up a curry this evening. First time in many months I’ve gotten round to cooking my own.
Do let me know if you’ve any idea about that logging problem.
