Long day at work, just home now.
Having read this I think I’m edging toward what they say. I remember Ayrton Senna being killed, and I know it got me thinking, about mortality, about racing without the chap. And don’t take this the wrong, way, it’s most definitely a bad thing. But the events this report talks about I’ve always thought are possibly an over reaction.
The report draws the conclusion that the over reaction is individuals being a little self-centred, and making themselves feel better.
But I think that might be tarring with too broad a brush. After all their are a number of possible causes. From actual genuine grief, through being caught up in the “mass” emotion, though to the view of the report.
While I can see what it’s saying, and agree that perhaps it is an overreaction, I think the causes may be a little more varied and a little more balanced and less self-centred than the report makes out.
