Phil’s Diary - [Blog @ http://www.philsdiary.net/]
So, another chock full of work, hectic and busy day. Getting mighty close to the deadline today though. Oh, and I’m just a little tired at the moment.
Got an email from Abi this afternoon:
“Urm just a quick note:
You have exchanged contracts, you are moving on the 3rd ;)
Yay!”
Abi’s parent’s firm are doing the conveyancing for me, so Abi keeps me in touch with how it’s all going (and has made my life stunningly stress-free in this respect by helping me out all the way through).
For those who don’t recognise the above, I think this means “the seller agrees to sell and the buyer agrees to buy” (at least that’s roughly what it said on the contract I signed). We’re now both legally obliged to buy and sell respectively, with no backing out.
And as for moving in… a week tomorrow is when it should all “complete”, and I get my keys and get to start moving in.
I really can’t say enough about how grateful I am to Abi. She’s been helpful, supportive and really done all the phoning, checking for me. She really has been a super-star and taken all the worry and stress off me.
And while I’m thanking people, I should thank my parents who were a great help at the start of the process, helping me pick a house, and a mortgage etc. And of course Abi’s parents for representing me and my interests legally.
