So, this weekend Abi and I get off to Surrey for a wedding, some close friends of Abi’s. The wedding was nice, obviously had lots of money spent on it. The venue was pretty nice too, a bit old house built around 1500. We both had a really nice time, with a good wedding, lots of entertainment and lovely weather.
The downside was really highlighted by the price of two sandwiches in the hotel. Four slices of bread (square loaf), two with cheese, two with egg mayo, all with crusts removed. And a sprinkling of a few kettle chips in between them. Yours for a bargain 13quid. Well we were both pretty surprised, and amused. They weren’t even particularly fancy sandwiches either.
Anyway, back to Oxfordshire around lunchtime today, we went and had a look at a new car. Abi’s still mulling it all over at the moment, so we’ll see.
Anyway, I’m off to light the BBQ, for some genuinely flame grilled burgers that don’t cost the earth.
