Blinds

There’s nothing much that Abi and I need to do today. A bloke turns up first thing to collect our old cooker, we then get off into Bicester for a little shopping. There are two things we wanted to get sorted, the first being some blinds for the front window, the second being a spare bed/sofa-bed/futon for our spare room. We manage the first one without too many problems, finding a nice futon which should be delivered tuesday. Then we get somewhere with the blinds, we need to measure up again, but it looks like we’re looking at around 100quid for a made to measure set. That’s not too bad at all.

With that done we return home, have lunch and a quick chat with one of Abi’s friends who lives nearby, and then nip into Oxford to get a floor protector for the study, where the chair in there is currently doing a good job of destroying the floor.

In the end I guess we did a lot, but it was all in a relaxed way because none of it was essential, or desperate and there were no real deadlines.

And that’s about it really, we spend the rest of the evening playing games (as in monopoly), before going out to the cinema to see Saw.

Saw is pretty good, but could have been lots better. It has a good premise, really very good indeed, but over complicates itself and in places gets too repetative. Not bad though.
