Movable Type has had a small bug in it for a while which adds to system load when comments are added to the site, even if those comments get sent into moderation (and hence to don’t get posted). MT3.14 should address that issue. The more of MT sites and installs you serve, the more important this is likely to be for you. Find out more here.
