The spammer(s) are back, numbers are up again, 190 so far today and still counting. I’ve taken a few drastic measures to see if I can curtail things a little. First I’ve closed comments on nearly all of the 2500 old entries. The only ones left open are those that have been commented on recently. If you need one opening specifically, let me know.

I’ve also got a small script which trawls the attemtped spammings and adds their IP addresses to the banned IP list. The 9000 attempts at the moment boils down to around 1500 IPs. Sure this is not the best way to do it, and I hope I’m not affecting too many innocents, but for now this site has too little genuine comments to warrant being fare and open.
