Phil’s Diary - [Blog @ http://www.philsdiary.net/]
Well, I really didn’t intend to go this far, but after the 680th spam attempt here today, I gave in. I’ve added Captcha’s to the comments page. Type the number that appears in the box in the input box below. I don’t intend to cause people problems, so if you’re having trouble reading them, let me know and we’ll see what we can do.
For the couple of you that do leave comments here, I hope it doesn’t cause too many problems, but I’m hoping it’ll cut down on the comment spam a little.

Well that is really quite simple. I had thought that we had been barred, not having a TypeKey ID.
Did you ever see the mail re your breadmaker?

Phil -
Good show. I deeply resent having to use YA ID/PW combo (I'm now at 189 and counting) - but I resent the assholes that make it necessary, not you and others who are shoveling sand against the tide of apathy toward spammers.
There must be some weapon to use against spammers (like a good hemp rope and a sturdy oak branch), but until that is enabled - continue to do the best you can with what you got.
Keep up the good work, Phil.
Regards,

I think this sort of thing is much better than the Typekey - especially for those of us who read you from multiple locations and can't remember what the heck our typekey ID is (I tell you, when my memory finally does go, I will be utterly, fundamentally, completely, totally screwed).
680 spams a day, huh? Wow. I guess I'll stick with the home-rolled version of my own software (which is batch files, and little else... ;-)
