Pancakes. Religeon. Had a few queries. Over here in the UK, part of the Christian calendar includes lent, a period of 40days of doing without luxurys. Pancakes are a good way of getting rid of milk, eggs and butter, and so is the traditional way of clearing out your cupboards of food luxurys before lent.

That’s very much from memory (a distant memory), but gives you an idea I hope. What it seems is other countries do different things for lent, and of course some countries aren’t as Christian dominated as here.
