Absolutely amazing, the US grand prix has just started with just 6 cars. In short the other cars were on Michelin tyres. There were problems in earlier testing with the tyres, and Michelin stated that the teams couldn’t use them. Although there were options, none has been finalised, and so all the cars except for the Bridgestone shod Ferrari’s, Jordan’s and Minardi’s have pulled out. The other cars peeled off to the pits at the end of the formation lap, pulled into their garages and withdrew from the race.
So now there’s a 6 car race on TV. Amazing and farcical.

I was there and it was a very weird afternoon. Too bad, it had been a great weekend up until that. I was really amazed how many people stayed until the end of the race.

I wonder at the financial consequences for Michelin. I also wonder what will happen when they don't give a reasonable answer before the next race. If they don't change the tyres they either say there was nothing wrong, or let everybody drive unsafely.
