Phil’s Diary - [Blog @ http://www.philsdiary.net/]
While I’m at work, Abi spends a while snapping away with the new camera, I’ll let her show you the fruits of that on her blog, but I’m pretty impressed (though I’m not a pro photographer).
Back home and I spend a few minutes (before I get too hot), snapping a few things too. The camera so far seems pretty good. My old Ixus V seemed quite slow at times. there was a short lag between pressing the button and a piccy being taken, and then another lag while it wrote that to the CF card. It led to a camera, that while fine to use, just felt a little like it was holding me back. The new camera doesn’t really do that. Pictures are taken instantly, and the writing to the card goes on in the background, so the next shot doesn’t have to wait. It’s a nice camera to hold, not too big, not too heavy, and nice feel to it. I’ve got a lot to get used to in terms of manual changes to Apeture, Shutter, Exposure, ISO and whatnot, but even without being a whizz at all those it seems to take some nice colourful shots.
I’ll try and pop one or two up tomorrow night if I get chance.
Another scorcher of a day today, so really lacking the will to do much this evening (apart from the above), because it inevitably leads to sweating away.
