In nearby Molyvos is an old Byzantine castle, so around midday we head off to take a look. After one aborted attempt (we forgot to bring any money), we have
a look around the ruins before heading back down the hillside, into Molyvos, stopping for pictures of the narrow cobbled streets. We stop for a much needed
drink, as it’s scorching hot weather.
Deciding that walking back up the hill to the car would probably kill one if not both of us, we grab a taxi to take us back off before heading back to the
house for some well needed pool cooling, and a nice relaxing afternoon. Food this evening is local style meatballs in red sauce, very nice indeed.
