Each year at work I get a set number of days to take off as hols, 25 this year. At the end of the year any unused ones get taken back, no cash alternative, and no carrying them over. So it’s day like this when I’m taking off the extra few days I have left.
Although I’m awake when Abi leaves, I head back to bed and sleep through until midday. The afternoon isn’t much more active either. Our new PC was shipped yesterday so it’s just waiting now for it to make its way across the country.
By the time Abi gets home it’s dark outside and so I use the opportunity to head off to a bridge over the nearby M40, armed with a tripod, and take a few long exposure snaps of the traffic. Here’s an example of one we got.
I’m not sure Abi was quite as enthusiastic as it was freezing, litteraly, and standing somewhere exposed like a motorway bridge isn’t the warmest of places.
