In amongst all the other stuff we do today, we set about building a baseboard for a model railway. Abi bought me some sections of track to get started with and we’ve chosen a layout, so today we build a base for it to sit on. A whopping 4 foot by 8 foot (2440mm x 1220mm). So we spend some time at the local DIY store picking up bits of wood and screws and then return home to assemble it all. Despite our lack of knowledge and skill we do a reasonable job. Just got a railway to build on it now.
