Trying to sort out Samba on FC5 test 2 tonight for Abi. I think the test bit really says it all, as something appears quite wrong with it all. It doesn’t overly surprise me, after all the warnings all say things could be broken. It surprised me a little though, as I figured it’d be more obscure/complex things that’d be broken.
Still the official release, though delayed from the 15ht March, should be done by 20th March (see here). Think I’ll be whacking that on asap, and hope it sorts out all these strange problems.
I do manage to get round the problem, though I don’t have much confidence in it working longer term, or even repeatedly.
Anyway, that was my evening pretty much done, though Abi does supply some tasty supplies.
