Mindstorm

Back to work today, busy as ever.

MSDN last month release some code snippets and examples of how to use Visual Studio 2005 to control a lego Mindstorms brick (not the new NXT version, but the 2.0 version).

As Visual Studio Express 2005 is freely downloadable, it all sounded like a pretty good idea. So I’ve given it a whirl. And it ain’t all that peachy. Firstly the precompiled examples crash out on running. And then running the projects themselves from within Visual Studio throws errors, from being unable to edit forms, to not finding files (in a-jowin’s My Docs folder… whoever he is, and why it’s looking there I dunno). And then finally moaning about not being able to load the DLL.

I’ll probably try and figure it out somehow, but it’s not looking great at the moment, so much for the “Fun” in Coding 4 Fun :)

Hi, Just wondering if you ever worked out how to get past this? I'm having the exact same problems as you are.
