Phil’s Diary - [Blog @ http://www.philsdiary.net/]
The release of the latest version of MT, 3.3 obviously passed me by completely (though I’ve upgraded this morning). The latest version sees the product split into a paid for Enterprise Edition, and a free personal edition.
The top fine new features are listed as:
Tags: Used to improve search and RSS feeds.
Widgets: Apparently something to do with drag and drop of items… not sure about this yet.
Activity Feeds: Management of comments, logins etc. via automated feeds.
New Blog Styles: For those with little creativity (or just lack of ability).
Powerful Templating Language: Always has been, but I guess it’s been tweaked now.
Hopefully the new additions and tweaks will help, but then I’ve never really had any problems with it all anyway. I guess all I could have asked for would be:
Better spam protection (as in ongoing tweaks & updates to kill the sods).
Easier Templating, perhaps editing in a more visual way, though I realise how tricky this would be.
