Drives

Bit of a quiet day for me today, as Abi’s gone by 11 off to see one of her friends. So having only just got up, I’m on my own with the dog for most of the day. He provides ample distraction, and apart from watching telly, and fiddling with the computer, there’s very little I have to do.

Abi gets back from the party to find some sod’s parked on our drive. As the drive is well away from the house it’s a bit more understandable, but still ain’t great. I’ve had similar experiences back when I was living in Oxford, and very nearly got run over by some sod who couldn’t care less, despite me pointing out he might be miffed if I’d parked on the drive infront of his house.

That’s really about as close as excitement comes today.

Reminds me of the time -before we installed a gate- when some dork drives up our drive and punctures his tire on a rake laying on it -I was working in the garden- . He got angry and after a bit of shouting and obscenities he calls the police claiming I damaged his car.
He probably didn't expect to get a tikket for tress-passing once the police looked at the situation. :)
