Blind

The bit I really miss, being blind as a bat, is when I get up first thing in the morning and can’t see a thing. Likewise, when I go to bed, once my glasses are off, I can’t see much at all.

So Abi and I head into town this morning to go to the opticians. Firstly to get a routine check, and then to see if I can trial some lenses.

I did try them a while back while I was at uni, but things didn’t go well then. So I thought it about time to give them another whirl.

After hours of prodding and poking my eyes (not much fun), I’m done. I’ve got two weeks to of trying them out before I get to the stage where I leave them in. They’re supposed to be 30day jobs, so hopefully they should fill the morning/night gap nicely.

Abi’s sister and her boyrfriend show up in the afternoon, so we spend most of the rest of the day catching up on odds and ends.
