Shakes

So, I’ve been trying the contact lenses all week. It’s still a bit hit and miss getting the sods in. But the one thing that’s slowed me down is that my right is a touch astigmatic. And the lens for that eye isn’t a toric one. So things are a little blurry. The problem is that when using a PC, or reading, that bluriness makes things very hard indeed. So I’ve not been wearing my lenses to work.

To try and get around this Abi and I went back into town this morning, to see if there was anything that could be done. The chap in the opticians was a bit off, but in the end I got a slightly more powerful lens to try and offset the astigmatism. So far it seems to be an improvement.

We’re off into Oxford later on, primarily so I can get my hair cut.

With some other shopping done, we head off home via a new milshake place “Shake Away“, which as Abi puts it is like Ben’s cookies. They’ve got a pretty cool way of doing milkshakes too. I wanted a mint aero milkshake. So they took two mint aero bars, unwrapped ‘em (‘cause they’re in their aero wrapping), bunged them in a blender with milk and icecream and blended. One nice milkshake later. It’s nice to see it done differently to the normal mass produced, pre-prepared varierty you’d get in MaccyD’s. Well worth trying if you’re in Oxford.

Anyway, back home and we have a nice relaxing evening.
