Phil’s Diary - [Blog @ http://www.philsdiary.net/]
I had a contact lens appointment last thing yesterday to determine that things were going ok, and to check out my eyes before I wear them overnight for the first time.
Since last weekends change to the lens in my right eye things have gone well during the week and I’ve been able to wear the lenses for 12-14hours each day.
Things seemed ok at the appointment yesterday also, so I’d been given them the go ahead to wear them overnight, which is what I did. And I’ve got to say that after years of being blind as a bat last thing at night and first thing in the morning, it’s a bit different being able to see.
So with it seemingly having gone quite well, we’re back at the opticians again this morning first thing to get my eyes checked once more. Things seem ok, so I should be keeping these in all week, with another appoinment next weekend.
With that done, Abi and I stop off at a couple of shops, including the supermarket, on the way home.
I got a bit of tree trimming done out the front this afternoon, it’s been looking a bit more like a bush of later, rather than a tree, so I trimmed the bottom half this afternoon. Normally we’d just have put the clippings in the garden recycling bin, but we’ve forgotten to get that emptyed, and so Abi’s car gets it boot filled and we head off down to the tip.
And that’s pretty much it except for a pretty quiet evening watching a few bits on TV.
