DVD Mk2

Back to trying to get DVDs to work again today, another rental another play. Managed to clear up the artifact problem, turning the brightness down. So that sorted that quite nicely. However I still find dark areas of colour badly quantized, 32bit colour, 16bit colour and res make no difference. I’m guessing here that watching through a TV may help this a bit.… but I really don’t feel like dragging the PC over the other side of the house, and finding the sockets to make it work.
A good film though, The Insider.
I then spent the afternoon not Christmas shopping. If I had it my way I’d do it on Boxing day, but I won’t so I’d better get round to it sometime.
