Snooze

A busy day at work, and I’m well knackered by the time I’m home. So back home and I get me a few hours of snooze in front of the tv, before writing this. Not sure how the rest of the evening will go, but it’s certainly not going to go on too late.

Costs

I do dislike it when organisations claim that crime is costing them money. This example is the BBC complaining that license evasion costs them £200m/year.

In my opinion this is rubbish. It doesn’t cost them anything at all. True they don’t get the income, they’re missing out on a wedge of the pie. But it’s not actually costing them anything.

If we allow this sort of reasoning, then the simple fact that I’m not doing X, Y and Z (pick anything you like that might make me some more money) is costing me money. So because I have the potential to make money, not carrying through the actions that could make it, is costing me. Hmmm, I don’t think so.

As far as I’m concerned material loss is the only thing that is costing anyone anything.

Before I finish though, I’d better point out that I don’t condone license evasion, I have a TV license myself. What I do object to though is mislabelling of wrong-doing.

More Search Madness

Another weird search result today. This site lists number 3 on Google for “70l tank”. Yes, I have one, but third?

The insanity continues.

Losing Track

I know this says it’s Wednesday, but I’ve just had to double check. With my head in it’s current state, I’m struggling to keep track of what day it is. And that’s with the constancy of work Mon-Fri. Even with that, I’m still struggling.

Another early morning, another day at work, and now only 3 days (including today) to go until I get a break.

More later I’m sure.
