Bowling Piccy

I mentioned bowling last night. This is one of the pictures from the night. The camera was one of the chaps, and I was the one with my finger on the trigger. We got the exposure set completely wrong, but to be honest, in my opinion it made for a much more interesting and colourful image. It just goes to show that sometimes mistakes are beneficial.

Photos Needed

Busy day at work, but tomorrow is my last day before my brief Christmas break, so I’d better not complain too much.

I’ve mentioned before 1000 words, as you can imagine for a site just starting out getting the critical mass of submissions needed to keep it going can be a little tough. Things apparently have been a bit sparse of late, so I’m mentioning it again in the hope that some of you might be able to submit an entry or two and help it on it’s way. I’ve already been and given my pint of blood (though I found it hard to write 300 words).

It may be fiction, but it wouldn’t be funny if there weren’t some truth to it.

I finally got apache’s virtual servers to work . The critical mistake I was making was that I was specifying the external IP address as that of the server (ie. the one that the DNS entries point to) rather than my internal private network address for the box. I’ve no idea why it works now, but it does. So I’ve moved all my domains over to it, except for this place (which needs somewhere with a little more bandwidth, a faster host and better qualified support staff than I).

So that’s me done now, my linux box is now my webserver, mailserver, ftp server and ssh host. My work here is finished (or just starting, depending on your point of view).
